P1 CALIFORNIA ART
All pieces, but one, shown below were purchased from galleries in Laguna Beach, California. Laguna Beach can be described as an artist colony, tourist stop, and home to many who do not mind the price of a home on a hillside overlooking the Pacific. Marco Sassone, an Italian contemporary artist, paints views of the Italian coast, Laguna and San Francisco. Laguna reminds him of Italy and the Italian hilly and mountainous sea coast.
Most of our purchases in Laguna were from local artists represented by galleries in Laguna; a few galleries were co-op where we were typically able to meet the artist. The Michel-Henry was from Austin Gallery in Laguna Beach. San Francisco, Carmel and Monteray were other stops for "art brousing" and the occassional purchase.
