NORTH CAROLINA ART
The image below is as large a "full" image as this software will allow; this is done so that the above full image will show up on everyone's monitor (set for native resolution) without having to use vertical or horizontal scroll bars. It is large, 71" x 51"; one never tires of looking at it. To be fully appreciated, one needs to see it full size and from a distance of 10 to 12 feet. The enlarged pictures in this case are "cropped" partial images that show good detail of Herb's method for constructing the piece.
Please note: The medium gray mat border that surrounds the picture, in reality, is a stark white. This is a software problem and it has been reported to the website host.

The major artist in the North Carolina section is Herb Jackson. A contemporary abstract artist, Herb is director of Art at Davidson College just west of Charlotte, NC; we have been very large collectors of Herb's work over the years. This particular piece is one of the finest if not "the finest" piece we have owned of his. It is large, 71" x 51"; one never tires of looking at it.
Herb has exhibited in many markets around the US. His work is in over 80 museums. There are over 40 published articles about his work. Additionally, he has exhibited in England, Peru, Portugal, Canada and the Soviet Union. Price Paid: $ 10,600

The overall photo image is a fair representation; software was used to try to get the best combination of colors, contrast and brightness. Viewing the actual piece shows a "perfect" combination of color, balance, contrast and brightness. Framing and mat are likewise "perfect".
